SAM DE LA HAYE

Sam de la Haye is a Cornish based singer/songwriter whose blues-inspired, soaring vocals combined with intelligent lyrics and neat piano-driven tunes have seen her described as “Beautiful” by Neil Sedaka and has had her gain the attention of Guitarist Steve Cropper. Originally Born in Jersey, Her ability to both evoke an emotive response and entertain thoroughly has wooed crowds on tours of America and Ireland as easily as it has in local London venues.

In September 2011, Ray Davies asked Sam to sing/narrate a children’s play that was commissioned by Grazdale Arts for The Great British Festival. Ray also personally selected her to support Guillemots for Royal Festival Hall Meltdown Festival on Saturday 18th June 2011 and she also appeared as a special guest alongside Eddie Reader and Robyn Hitchcock for the Kast Off Kinks performance at the Purcell Room. In 2012 Sam released her Debut Album ENGLAND produced by Tim Bidwell. Who produced Tim’s house” by singer/songwriter Kate Walsh, the only Independent Artist to get a #1 album in the I-tunes chart. watch this space!!!

Sam has served her apprenticeship, as a piano/vocalist for some of London’s top hotels including the award-winning London Savoy Hotel, and after 10 years’ hard graft has now relocated to Cornwall to enjoy a more creative lifestyle whilst bringing up her one-year-old son and studying to become a music therapist. Sam Still plays London once a month and continues to sing in and around the south west for corporate and function work.
