Tommy Cannon

He’s a national treasure who became a household name as one half of Cannon and Ball. Tommy Cannon played the straight man to the late Bobby Ball as the double act dominated prime-time TV for more than a decade.

Tommy Cannon born Thomas Derbyshire was born on 27th June 1938 in the small town of Oldham, he now lives in North Yorkshire with his lovely wife and has 5 children.

Tommy’s hobbies include Golf, staying fit, reading, gardening and spending time with his extended family!

Tommy’s first appearance on TV was as Cannon and Ball in 1979, on the Wheeltappers and Shunters Club, and nearly 50 years later, he is still going! As well as being the star of The Cannon and Ball Show he has appeared on shows such as Masterchef, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Heartbeat, Emmerdale and everything else in between, even starring in a film – The Boys in Blue!

Later this year, Tommy is releasing an autobiography all about his life, and also he embarks on his first ever solo tour up and down the UK.

The actor, singer and comic, Tommy has lived an extraordinary life – most recently being lauded by rock star Robbie Williams, at a sell-out concert in Manchester.
