Office Closure – COVID-19

Office Closure – COVID-19

As the severity of COVID-19 unfolds it’s obvious that the leisure and tourism industry has and will continue to take a huge hit financially. The array of venues including holiday centres, hotels, golf clubs, theatres, social and association clubs, pubs, wine bars, ferries and cruise ships will experience its effect like nothing we have ever seen in our lifetimes. Not least the effect on entertainment agencies and the 100’s and 1000’s of acts nationwide that ply their trade and skills week in, week out to entertain at these such venues.

As an agency, we closed our office this week in line with the government guidelines and I would like to extend my thanks to our very dedicated team at The Vern Allen Group in the bookings department, the events team and the technical support team, all of which are now at home until sanctions are lifted.

I would also like to offer my thoughts out to the many agencies nationwide, some of whom deal we with very closely day to day and hope that we can all get through this without too many casualties both financially and through illness. Crossed fingers we can all get back to a normal way of life sooner rather than later.

We will still be monitoring any incoming calls and emails in case anyone needs to contact the agency regarding cancellations, moving/re-scheduling bookings, so we’re still here! – just not in the way that we hoped for with a busy Easter more or less wiped off the calendar.

The Vern Allen Group is still open for business, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch, and in the meantime, stay at home, do what you have to do to get this thing beaten and let’s get our industry back on track.

Stay safe everyone and we’ll see you on the other side!
